![]() It does the same thing on my Apple TV 4th gen in another room. I get the error on any Apple TV+ show, no matter the episode number. A couple days later, my wife tried to watch the episodes and the error was persistent. I then got the same error again on episode 3 of For All Mankind. After trying a few times, I was able to play both episodes. It then showed the banner to try Apple TV+ for a few seconds and went away. The next day I tried again and got the same errors. I tried to watch The Morning Show and got "there's a problem loading this content". Everything worked fine until the day the 6th episodes released (November 22, 2019). What on earth is going on? Can anyone help?Īpple TV+ Episodes Stopped Working I signed up for Apple TV+ on launch day. And my wife's MBP (2022 M1 16" OS 12.3-almost identical machine!) does not encounter the problem when configured exactly as above. I do not get this problem with the same MBP connected to a desktop LG display monitor. I did not get this problem until a few days ago (something to do with the Mac OS 12.3 upgrade?). I get the same result irrespective of the Mac app I use to play the video (Quicktime Player, Camtasia, Apple Music, Powerpoint in presenter Mode.) irrespective of the media content (audio/video) irrespective of various display settings. This is a BIG PROBLEM because I use Powerpoint with embedded videos projected on Apple TV professionally. Using the Apple TV as an 'added display.' Every 44 seconds (exactly) the video and audio both stutter or judder (about 2x per second) for exactly 14 seconds, then normal play resumes for another 44 seconds. I stream an mp4 from Quicktime Player (10.5) on my Mac (2022 M1 14" MBP OS 12.3) to my Apple TV (4K running OS 15.4). Periodic stuttering when playing video from Mac to Apple TV This may be a system bug. The Apple TV is brand new 4k with os 15.2. ![]() The NAS never runs no more then 15% utilization of memory or 10% CPU on its resource manager. It’s all direct play with no transcoding. On the Plex server it says it’s running 30-40mbs with occasional spikes but nothing above 100mbs. NAS run off a synology 920+ with IronWolf drives in Raid 5 with 8g of memory and 1TB cache ssd. Does the Apple TV 4K not fully support the 10bit? I mean it says it does but I can’t think of any other ideas. ![]() When I run the Plex on my iPhone 12 I haven’t been able to replicate the stuttering issue even over Wifi. Also have seen that subtitles can sometimes cause compatibility issues but this occurs with them on or off with similar frequency. I also tried infuse app and while the stuttering was definitely less it still occurred. And on speed test with Apple TV wires running 1gig. I assumed it was a Wifi issue but despite switching to a wired connection it still happens. And it happens in files with bitrates 15mbs or 45mbs so seems to be exclusive of bitrate. It doesn’t seem to make a difference if it’s mkv or MP4. This only seems to be an issue with 4k 10bit videos codes in h.264 or h265. It just stutters or jerks then will smooth back out. It doesn’t effect the sound and the app doesn’t give the buffer wheel. So when I run files from my Plex server I get stuttering in the image every 5-10mins for a few seconds.
